Area-17 Architecture and Interiors has achieved the design of the China Resources coworking offices located in Beijing, China.
The China Resources coworking offices were designed by Area-17 as a space that combines traditional values with modern functions. The nostalgic feeling of reminiscing the smell of ancient wood, solemn proportions of space, and the relaxing play of light on the porch with rustling leaves under your feet are an experience that one feels as if they brought you back into a mythical time of study and places that our collective consciousness relates to that experience.
This idealized moment portrays a symbolic understanding of “work”, characterized by creativity and passion, friendship and teamwork as prerequisites to execute a result. For a co-working space, these requirements are the DNA that defines it.
The interior design establishes a form of parallelism by suggesting a connection between innovative and traditional approaches to work, expressed through large and flexible spaces as large as classic style classrooms, alternating with niches for private moments. The design continues stimulating ones’ imagination experiencing the sensation of reality and fantasy when they are entering the indoor gardens. Evocative words that incorporate principles inspiring the concept underline the succession of rooms, while defining their functions.
