Studio Distract designed Beehive Lofts for creative coworking teams located in Manchester, England.
Designed as a home from home environment for individuals and teams that wanted to work in a more relaxed and less corporate environment. The challenge was in relaxing the usual ‘office’ aesthetic while keeping a professional and productive atmosphere for its members and their guests.
Using a mixture of off the shelf furniture and bespoke pieces we bridged two floors of a 1800s cotton mill to create one large open space. The space utilised low priced but hard wearing furnishing to maximise the budget. The challenge was to make ‘cost effective’ look like luxury.
