After spending a summer in Europe, ALEX AND TRAHANAS is excited to launch their Edition 03: Summer. The collection comprises six travel inspired clothing pieces crafted in Italian aloe vera infused linen, new hand-painted Apulian ceramics for the entertainer’s table, and the first-ever collaboration with Louise Olsen of Dinosaur Designs on a capsule jewellery range. Sophisticated linen is ALEX AND TRAHANAS’ calling card. Created by Alexandra Heard and Heleena Trahanas, ALEX AND TRAHANAS work exclusively with Solbiati linens, one of the world’s most prestigious linen mills with a wealth of over 150 years of history. The new aloe infused linen combines the cool touch and distinctive texture of linen with the beneficial properties of aloe vera which accentuates the fabric’s cool, comfortable feel, conveying a sensation of well-being that is enhanced by its delicate fragrance. ALEX AND TRAHANAS’ new hand-painted Apulian ceramics comprises new espresso cups, drinking cups, dessert/side plates, bowls and aperitivo serving plates, which arrive just in time for the festive and gifting season. Their collaboration with internationally renowned and one of Australia‘s most recognised designers and artists, Louise Olsen of Dinosaur Designs, has resulted in an exclusive collection of earrings and bangles inspired by the natural beauty of olive trees found in the Mediterranean. Olsen says: “I’m excited to be collaborating with Heleena Trahanas and Alexandra Heard of ALEX AND TRAHANAS for the first time. Heleena and I have been working at Dinosaur Designs together for six years and it is so special that we get to collaborate in another capacity. The beauty of Apulian olive trees, the backdrop to their upcoming linen summer edition shoot inspired our jewellery collection. The organic curved olive-leaf form brings a touch of the Mediterranean into each piece where golden leaves hang from the ear or wraps gently around the wrist.” The Summer linen pieces, when styled together with the new LOUISE OLSEN X ALEX AND TRAHANAS jewellery, create the perfect summer look. ALEX AND TRAHANAS worked with Florence based photographer Marina Denisova to photograph the collection at the stunning white stone farmhouse, Masseria Moroseta, located in the south of Italy, in Ostuni, Puglia.
