Francesc Rifé最近完成了一个位于西班牙的民宿项目Casa Grande Hotel。它位于西班牙La Rioja自治区的一个小城镇Grañón，那里可以让那些逃离大城市来到这避难的人们，找到一处安静的栖息地。

Francesc Rifé recently completed a Hotel project in Spain called Casa Grande Hotel. Located in Granon, a small town in the Autonomous region of La Rioja, Casa Grande Hoteloffers a quiet place for people who have fled the big cities to find refuge.

在Casa Grande Hotel还未落地之前，它的雏形概念是来自一对厌倦了大城市生活的夫妇Raul和Monica，这对夫妇为了简化他们的生活形式，带着两个女儿来到Grañón，然而他们发现了一座18世纪的庄园，那是一个迷人的村庄。此刻此景让这对夫妇萌生了在这里打造休闲和欢乐的民宿。在Francesc Rifé工作室的帮助下，在这足够的空间内创建一个只有11个房间的度假民宿，旨在让他们感到宾至如归的场景。

Before Casa GrandeHotel was launched, its original concept came from a couple Raul and Monica who were tired of life in the big city. The couple took their two daughters to Granon in order to simplify their life style, but they found a 158th-century chateau, which is a charming village. This situation inspired the couple to create a leisure and fun hotel here. With the help of Francesc Riféstudio, this was enough space to create an 11-room resort designed to make them feel at home.

With a design inwhich a modern and sober collection of materials quietly co-exists with original features, the main purpose of the project has been the preservation of the ashlar walls on which a light grey monochrome layer has been applied tounify the tone. This technique also aims to provide a certain luminosity torooms where the thickness of the walls often does not help the entry of naturallight. On the other hand, and contrasting with the clarity of the stone and thenatural oak floors, there is the black poplar wood that runs throughout the space integrating the lighting and hiding technical devices such as loudspeakers. This color is also emotionally linked with pillars and beams restored in a dark tone.

The poor condition of the façade openings has led to the use of 10mm blued iron structures to maintain their squareness, and aluminum windows have been combined in a similar finish. Metal pivoting doors not only serve to contain the light but are partof the conceptual aesthetic of the rooms. These elements are always folded parallel to the facade and have ended up becoming decorative gestures used throughout the entire project, and both inside and outside.

The side facade, perhaps the most monumental part of the project, starts from a chaotic original distribution of the former windows that seeks to arrange them under a new skinof blued iron. It is the same surface that extends as a pivoting door to giveaccess to the hotel terrace. This element has a double meaning, on the onehand, it reinforces the aesthetic narrative of the metal that has been used todesign windows and balconies, but at the same time, it hides different lateral openings that house machinery, electrical wiring, etc. In this façade, the Campanula lamps, designed by the architect Peter Zumthor for Viabizzuno, havebeen placed to communicate to the visitors from the beginning the rationality and care with which the project has been built. Inside, there is general and integrated downlight lighting, secondary and linear lighting that aims to highlight the restored surfaces and the third kind of decorative lighting that defines the hotel's intimate mood.

Casa Grande Hotel在每位到来的客人眼中就是一个温暖朴素的民宿，有时候也可以是家。入口的接待处诠释了Casa Grande Hotel在拥抱每一位到来的旅客。作为公共入口，它应该是更开放和包容，亦或是更舒适的。所以Francesc Rife的工作室在大堂内以一个大型的金属家具为特色，然后在两侧设置了图书角和电视设施作为娱乐和休息的空间。在这之后，还设置了一个餐厅和酒窖，这看起来让整个民宿酒店的气氛充满和谐。

In the eyes of everyguest, Casa Grande Hotel is a warm and simple hotel and sometimes a home. The reception at the entrance interprets Casa Grande Hotel as it embraces everyvisitor who arrives. As a public entrance, it should be more open and inclusive, or more comfortable. So Francesc Rife's studio featured a large metal piece in the lobby, then flanked by book corners and Television facilities for entertainment and rest. After this, a restaurant and wine cellar is set up, which seems to make the atmosphere of the whole hotel full ofharmony.

Casa GrandeHotel还有两层，其中一楼有5个房间，这些房间在外观上有相似的美感，但功能和分布却又不同。其中几个房间保留了砖墙，而另外的房间保留了裸露的砖和混凝土。为了避免过于复杂的氛围，使用相同的单色处理来统一不同的纹理。二楼有6个房间，以较高的高度区分。所有的房间都被设计成带有一张大床的套房，还有一些房间的沙发可以作为单人床。

Casa Grande Hotelalso has two floors, including five rooms on the ground floor, which have similar aesthetic appearance but different functions and distribution. Some ofthe rooms retain brick walls, while others retain exposed brick and concrete.To avoid overly complex atmospheres, use the same monochrome treatment to unify the different textures. There are six rooms on the second floor, divided by the higher height. All rooms are designed as suites with a king-size bed, and some rooms have sofas that can be used as single beds.
