Punch Architecture is a licensed architecture and design firm in the United States with international project experience. It creates spaces, environments, and objects that are site specific to the client and their brand, while being conscientious of the impact the design makes on the surrounding environment and interaction between the end user.

Wabi-sabi, a Japanese aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The beauty of wabi-sabi is sometimes described as imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is a concept derived from the three dharma seals of Buddhism, especially impermanence. The characteristics of wabi-sabi include asymmetry, roughness or irregularity, simplicity, economy, understatement, closeness and display of natural integrity. Wabi-sabi aesthetics is the most significant feature of traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Cayambe

火山的概念

Cayambe comes from a volcano in Ecuador and its elongated and rectangular form influenced the architectural design of contemporary Las Vegas homes. This project is designed according to the function of family daily life. It boils down to a simple formula, private and public. The ground floor connects all the outdoor Spaces, blurring the boundaries of indoor/outdoor desert life. The pocket courtyard is pulled into the interior space, allowing the microclimate to be experienced on a daily basis. The second floor accommodates all the bedrooms and private Spaces connected to the outdoor terrace. These rooms capture stunning views of the Las Vegas valley and the surrounding red rock mountains.

Protected natural light is essential to the overall project and is maximized by the strategic location of the glass and canopy. The desert sun is harsh and oppressive, but one can live comfortably in the desert if protected by shade and natural ventilation (through passive cooling and heating). The straight shape of Cayambe and the canopy extend to the sky, to the extended mountains.

与厄瓜多尔的Nevado Cayambe一样，Cayambe以最少的、简单的建築形式和材料屹立于世，这些都与拉斯维加斯当地的沙漠环境有关。

Like Nevado Cayambe in Ecuador, Cayambe stands with minimal and simple architectural form and materials, all related to the desert environment of Las Vegas.
